Michael Kulczycki joins UptimeHealth’s Advisory Board
Boston, MA. UptimeHealth is pleased to announce that Michael Kulczycki has joined the advisory board. Kulczycki has over 45 years of experience in managing and marketing health care organizations and other entities. Prior to retirement, he previously served as executive director for the Ambulatory Care Accreditation Program at The Joint Commission for nearly 20 years. Kulczycki also served in several other executive positions including CEO of The Alliance for Healthcare Strategy and Marketing, Chicago, and executive director of the Illinois Home Care Council, Chicago.

As Joint Commission’s program leader from 2002, he directed business development, strategic direction and overall product line management for Ambulatory Care Services, leading a team of business development professionals. This accreditation program covered over 2,100 accredited ambulatory organizations and 8,600 sites of care nationwide. Accredited organizations included ambulatory surgery centers, primary care providers, urgent care centers, and a vast range of other ambulatory groups. He was a frequent speaker on the topic of ambulatory care accreditation, quality, and patient safety to national, corporate and state groups each year, and was published and quoted extensively in ambulatory media sources. Starting in 2016, Joint Commission added an optional certification program, Integrated Care Certification, under his leadership. He was also integral to the 201l launch of The Joint Commission’s optional “medical home” certification, called Primary Care Medical Home Certification.
Kulczycki is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) who was awarded an ASAE Fellow status (FASAE) by the American Society of Association Executives. In 2014, he was inducted as a fellow member of Institute of Medicine Chicago. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois and earned his undergraduate degree in communication arts from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana.
